Hoffman Estates Jaycees is proud to announce the approval of our Job Fair which will be held October 1, 2011. Everyone is encouraged to join our first Committee Meeting on Thursday, July 14th at 6:30 PM. We will meet at Garibaldi’s located at 2346 West Higgins Road in Hoffman Estates.

Box Tops for Education
Assist the City of Hoffman Estates and the local schools and community by collecting box tops for education from various food and household items. Please join us in collecting at no cost to you. Attached are a couple of documents related to box tops including the list of items that have box tops on their packaging.

North Region Fundraiser
Please come out to Coach’s Corner in Elk Grove Village on March 29th, any time between 5pm and 9pm. Present the attached flyer, and the region will receive 15% based on your bill.

1st Friday Social
Join us at our next First Friday Social Friday, April 1 at 6pm! Bring a couple friends or family members out with you to celebrate life, great conversation and spectacular food! Kids are welcome too.

2nd Saturday Coffee Social
This month’s 2nd Saturday Coffee Social is on Saturday, April 9 at 10am at the Panera at South Barrington Arboretum. All are welcome for some breakfast, coffee, or drink of choice.

CPG Training
Hoffman Estates Jaycees will sponsor CPG (Chairman Planning Guide aka “Business Plan”) Training led by past Illinois State President Lucia Irwin. It will take place on Wednesday, April 13 at 6:30pm. We have reserved the Hoffman Estates Meeting Room at the Hoffman Estates Branch of the Schaumburg Library. The address is 1550 Hassell Road, Hoffman Estates. You are not going to want to miss this!

General Meeting Reminder
Our next General Meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 20 at 7pm at the Hoffman Estates Village Hall, 1900 Hassell Road. Bring a friend or 2 to share the opportunity of the Jaycees! Interested in healthier eating? Our guest speaker, Dr. Melissa Luhrs, will discuss a healthy diet and your main concerns.

4th Wednesday Coffee Social
This month’s 4th Wednesday Coffee Social starts at 7pm at Caribou Coffee in Hoffman Estates at Roselle and Golf Roads on April 27. Bring a friend or two to share a cup of coffee or pastry.

State Year-End Convention Recap
The Year-End GA took place in Decatur from Friday, January 28 – Sunday, January 30. We placed 7th in the State for POC (Parade of Chapter) points. WAHOO!!

1st Friday Social
Join us at our next First Friday Social this Friday, February 4 at 6PM! We will be having some great conversation and spectacular food!  Bring a couple friends or family members out with you to celebrate life and the new year. Kids are welcome too.

Superbowl Squares
Superbowl Fun
$10 a chance (50% proceeds going to Hoffman Estates Jaycees)

1. Zero Knowledge of Football Needed.
2. Computer will generate a set of random numbers for each chance/each quarter.
3. You will receive your numbers prior to kickoff.
4. Once the Super Bowl is played, the final score of each quarter is used to determine each winner.
(Final score will be used instead of 4th qtr score if Overtime)
5. You win if your number matches the ending score of that quarter.  During the 4th quarter, if your square is directly to the right, left, above or below the winning square, you win $20.
6. Here are the Prizes for each quarter:
1st Quarter $75
2nd Quarter: $115
3rd Quarter: $100
4th Quarter: $130
4th Consolation (Adjacent Squares): $20 each

*We still have 17 squares left. Respond to this email if you would like to reserve 1 or more before the game this Sunday.

Chapter Planning Meeting
Thanks to the “TEAM” that attended the plannnig session; as well a thank-you to Joanne for hosting at her house.   We discussed our plans for events, meetings, goals, etc. for the year.   If you missed the meeting we would still like to get any ideas you may have feel free to reach out to one of the board members or  please respond to this email stating some.  Lets get these projects on the calander and make them them happen!
