Heidi is purchasing more movie tickets. Web Editor: The website is being updated regularly, and pictures from the carnival are up. Also, the e-mail list is constantly being updated, so do a Reply All to Erin's e-mails of minutes. VP Membership: The chapter social/M-Night is on Friday, July 22nd 7-8:30 at the Poplar Creek Bowling Alley. All members and their guest are invited, and invitations were sent to about 100 prospective members from the carnival. The following people are up for renewal: Heidi, Chaffee, Bret, Sara, Kate, Robbie, Tom. Please pay Joanne $50. The Schaumburg Jaycees are holding a regional meeting on July 30th at the American Legion Hall in Roselle. The state is having their summer planning boards convention in Springfield on Aug. 5-7. If you're interested, see Kate. Joanne talked about golf, including golf safety, rules, and etiquette. The golf outing will be on Sunday at Twin Lakes in Palatine. It will be a scramble. Old Business: Carnival: All bills have been paid. Our net profit was almost $3200, which was considerably more than last year, although our fixed costs went up. More advertising is a suggestion for next year. Domino's Pizza cards: Some pizza cards were sold, and the rest are being turned in. If you have any left that aren't being sold, please return them to Mike or Joanne so they can return the cards. Polo shirts: We talked about the shirts. The logo was developed. The background is blue, the words are white, and the logo is red. They will be ordered by Ray this week. Please bring $10 to the next meeting for your shirt. New Business: Golf Outing - Sunday, July 17: The golf outing will be on Sunday at Twin Lakes in Palatine. Mushball Tournament - There will possibly be a mushball (14") tournament for up to 16 teams from the community. Cost would be $10/person (so a typical team of 10 would be $100), and there will be a cash prize given to the winners. Dates are being discussed with the Hoffman Estates Park District, possibly in September. The profits would go to the police department to use for needy families. Car Wash - We may do a car wash with the Clearbrook chapter August 13th or 20th. Mike will e-mail the group with details. Some Boy Scouts may also assist. Newsletter Editor - The newsletter is being done by Mike, but we are looking for a new newsletter editor. Kate had expressed interest in doing it. Region Report: Liz Michaels (Northbrook) talked about the Northbrook Jaycees' Crazy Bowl. It will take place at 350 McHenry Rd. in Buffalo Grove on Sunday, August 28th.
