Old Business:
-Carnival - Many people showed up to help work the carnival, including 13 Hoffman Estates Jaycees, 4 regional, and from Palatine, Elk Grove, Northbrook, and Round Lake. The gross intake was approximately $35,000, and our expected profit is about $3200. Community surveys were given during the surveys, resulting in 94 people who are in the age range and are interested in the Jaycees. We will plan some events to involve these prospective members.

-Golf Scramble - July 17th, open to Jaycees and their guests.

-Sports Trip - The possibity for attending a Cubs game and a Bears game was discussed. Ray and Brendan are looking into it. Look for an update on e-mail.

-Membership Awareness Event - We are planning to have a bowling night for prospective members on Friday, July 22nd or Friday, July 29.

-Polo shirts will be ordered for the chapter. Kate will be sending out an e-mail asking who is interested in buying a shirt.

Board:
-Treasurer - The carnival was the largest fundraiser of the year.

-Web Editor - If you have pictures or information for the website, send them to Erin.

-Membership - Edward is our newest member! We will be sending notes to prospective members.

-Community VP - There may be a softball game to increase awareness of the Hoffman Estates Jaycees in the community. Ray is also looking into opportunities at the Sears Center. If you have an idea for sports to be offered for women in the community, e-mail Joanne.

-Region RD - We would like to thank the other groups for helping at the carnival.

Palatine Visitation -Wendy Copeland came from Palatine to tell us about their 4th of July carnival and request help. There are many types of activities for you to help with. If you are interested in helping, visit their website at www.palatinejaycees.org/fourthofjuly.
